CFLF – because we care for the environment

Controlled Fermented Liquid Feeding is, in several ways, an environmentally conscious concept.

Firstly, it addresses the problem of phosphorus excretion – a subject with great governmental attention. When pig feed is fermented, up to 80-90 % of the phosphorus is accessible to the pig so the retention of phosphorus is therefore increased. CFLF, therefore, leads to reduced phosphorus excretion into the environment.

Secondly, the utilization of protein of the pig is increased. This means there are less emissions of nitrogen into the environment. Therefore, CFLF has advantages for both the farmer and the environment: Less minerals used, less expenses and less minerals excreted in the manure!

40 million tons of coproducts not utilized!

Each year millions of tons of byproducts are generated that have been considered to have little value, are classified as wastes, and often disposed in landfills. Lots of nutrient-filled potatoes, corn, peas, beans etc. are thrown away. Why not use this under-utilized food in pig production? With Controlled Fermented Liquid Feeding (CFLF) we can utilize these byproducts - and both save money AND help the environment.
