Fermentation helps reduce emissions of phosphorus and nitrogen
Ferment your feed and help reduce the volume of phosphorus and nitrogen emitted into the environment. Fermentation makes phosphorus and nitrogen more accessible to the pigs, which therefore assimilate more of it. This means that less phosphorus and nitrogen are excreted into the manure.
Fermentation technology thus generates benefits for both the farmer and the environment: reduced feed costs (as there is no need to buy as much protein and phosphorus) and fewer minerals excreted into the manure. In addition, by using feed by-products, you can contribute to using tons of what are actually excellent ingredients. In many countries, all by-products are used for composting or disposed of as waste. This comes at a high cost, as phosphorus and nitrates from these by-products pollute our environment.
